L-R: MAC RiRi Woo - £15.50, MAC Cosmetics // L'oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds in Blake's Red, £6.99 - Boots // Revlon Colorstay Moisture Lipstain in New York Scene, £7.99 - Boots // Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick in Hollywood Red, £6.99 - Boots // Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Velvet, £13.50 - Cocktailcosmetics.co.uk

For me, nothing is more glamorous than a red lip and I have many of them as you will see in the below photo, I was going to do a "My Red Lipstick Collection &  Swatches" post because I'm sure everyone says this but, they're all different shades of red, I swear. That post would have taken me more than a few hours to picture, swatch, write up and edit though so I'll leave that one for another day and today I will go through my favourite reds with you!

MAC RiRi Woo
Yes I know, this is a limited edition but it's almost identical to the Ruby Woo lipstick by MAC (Rihanna's version, RiRi woo just has more of a deep, blue undertone.) I love this lipstick, it's super long wearing but also super mattifying so if you don't like that then you won't like this but to me, it's perfect.

L'oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds in Blake's Red
L'oreal lipsticks are always really creamy and really pigmented, I find. The Pure Reds collection is so beautiful I want them all. The packaging has a subtle hint of leopard print on it yet its still in that sleep black bullet with a gold rim where the bullet fastens which is so pretty. Thhe lipstick itself is matte, blue toned red that stays on the lips for ages. It's not as mattifying at MAC Ruby Woo but it's a creamy sort of matte and it's easy to dress it up or down depending on the look you're going for.

Revlon Color Stay Moisture Lipstain in New York Scene
Glosses really aren't my thing, stain glosses however I can work with. The packaging, the colour, the texture and the pigment of these products are insane, they stay on like no other (except Rimmel Provocalips...omg) I find myself wearing this when I want a bit of a glossy lip but don't want it to budge. The colour is very comparably to that of a big red apple, which I think may have been what they were going for...with the whole "New York" thing. Seriously though, I need more shades.

Swatches L-R: Lime Crime Red Velvet, Revlon New York Scene, MAC RiRi Woo, L'oreal Blakes Red & Maybelline Hollywood Red.

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Hollywood Red
When I first saw this colour I wasn't too keen on it, I thought it was a little too brown based for me, but when I swatched it I fell in love. The colour is so classy but so played down that you can get away with it anytime of the day but looks especially gorgeous with a smokey golden eye. I love this so much that I even went back to Boots and bought the matching lip liner and they are just the dream combination together.

Lime Crime Velventine in Red Velvet
Last but certainly by no means least, Lime Crime Velvetine. These liquid lipsticks are no joke. They go on like a gloss and dry to a matte finish that won't budge, smudge, transfer or come off through any kind of contact through the lips, like eating drinking, kissing (wink wink) other than if you remove it with a makeup remover. The colour of this one especially caught my eye as I'm into the more deep reds with a blue undertone than the pink based true reds. When I saw this on Lime Crime's Instagram I just knew I had to have but so I searched where I could buy it in the UK and found Cocktail Cosmetics and I am so thankful they stock Velvetines because I need them all in my life.

Those were my top five red lipstick picks!

Do you own any of these lipsticks? How do you like to wear them? Do you use lipliners? Let me know in the comments.
